I have just bought an iPod touch and I must admit that it is very good. I am writing this on the machine right now and it is very quick. For those who know me they will know that I am against buying apple as a rule, however after an exhurstive search for a decent device I decided that this was the only choice. It seems pretty obvious that all the other companies are waiting for the development of android to be implemented. When this is complete then there will be a match for the iPod but I wonder why companies such as Sony and nokia are letting apple get so far ahead? I recon it will take at least another year for anyone to come close to the apple products that we see today.
The touch is a brilliant peice of equipment that is incredably quick and the app store is a brilliant invention! Some of the apps are quite revolutionary and are really going to change the way I do things, like updating this blog. I have to admit that I wasn’t too keen on using iTunes. Although I haven’t used it in a few years and the latest version is very quick and stable. Generally if anyone is looking for an mp3 player that does more than play songs and movies then the iPod is realistically the only option for at least a year, and I can garrentee that you will never regret it. There are still a few things that I would like to see in the system like a spell checker and a way to save email addresses so every time you log into a new app you don’t have to waste time entering details. These are the only issues that I can see at the moment which I think is remarkable.
